•To educate the students that participate in the activities the important of environmental awareness and needs for marine eco-system.

•The initial findings from the study conducted on the fishermen indicate that the fishermen are quite aware that some of the fishing gears used have an adverse effect to turtles and that the collection of eggs without a license is illegal. Based on those study, we also planning to give full information to the fishermen that participate to focused on turtle-fishery interaction to determine the extent of turtle mortalities due to fishing gears and the economic dependence of egg collection as their secondary source of income.

•To work with the hotels and chalet operators in the turtle nesting areas to encourage them to adopt proper mitigation measures on lighting and noise reduction especially during the turtle nesting season. A discussion between the hotels and chalet operators with government agencies will be conducted at the activities to formulate a proper guideline on turtle watching procedures that could be adopted by the local community to protect the nesting beaches and ensure that the turtles return to our home shores.
